Welcome to our progress notes!

November 2, 2010

The purpose of our blog is to share what we’ve learned from collaborating on the “Nonprofit Management Resources” (NPMR) project.

We came together to create NPMR because we wanted to offer nonprofit managers carefully-vetted, highly authoritative answers to their questions.  The founding partners of this project, Third Sector New England and the Boston Foundation, were quick to recognize that the solution was in searching and aggregating the knowledge bases of more than one organization, rather than to duplicate the labor of each organization or to create an information silo.

This means that the core members of the project team (Denise Moorehead, Bethany Ramirez, Ndlela Nkobi, and Deborah Elizabeth Finn) have to collaborate very actively – not only with each other, but with the many partners who are contributing their visions, technical skills, content streams, and funding.

We are looking forward to sharing the lessons learned along the way.
